We are Arthur and Chay, a couple of Luso-Brazilian therapists. The history of Manos Zen began in Paraty, a tourist town on the coast of Rio de Janeiro - Brazil. In this little paradise, in full connection with nature and the traditional peoples of the region, we realized that our old professions no longer made sense.

The desire to transform our lives, seeking for more tranquility and spiritual connection, led us to alternative therapies. After experimenting with various techniques and realizing the benefits to ourselves, we decided that this would be our new way of life and that we would promote the same sense of well being to others.

It was an intense period of learning, specialized training with Master Kurma Maitreya in Clinical Massage Therapy, Ayurvedic Massage, Bioenergetics, Reflexology, Yoga, as well as studies in energy cures such as Reiki, Theta Healing and Access Consciouness among other holistic knowledge. The Manos Zen pilot project began in a coworking space, in a charming house by the Perequê-Açu River, where our massage techniques have won over local clients and travelers from all over the world.

But as the world turns and we are restless, we decided to cross the ocean in search of more freedom, other horizons and other traditions. We brought in our luggage all the knowledge acquired, a tropical air and the good energy of Brazilian ancestry. Here we are, ready to meet you and present to you all the wonders that the alternative therapies can do for you.
